Introduction
This lesson incorporated my two main teaching philosophies well. The class got a chance to see the way some philosophy classes are run. The class got a chance to work with a Philosophy introduction. This type of lesson prepares the writing students to learn not only a basic five paragraph essay but work with other types of writing and learning as well. The project also was very student based even though it had a lecture in it. The video brought humor and made the lesson student friendly and the debate allowed students to put their ideas out there. The students were given the opportunity to work with their peers and bounce ideas off of them and also let the teacher see the ideas that they have in an open setting. The lesson could use some tweaks before it is used again in any further teachings but this just proves my point that teaching and tutoring is a constant learning process for both teacher and student.
